Default Introductions:

Hey all - Ahoy!

I finally figured out how to do PM stuff, and follow a link here, so I'll now introduce myself properly: I am propbeanie, and I'm a simulation game addict... it's true... The games have to be of a specific breed, none of that new stuff, it's gotta be an older game, but with decent graphics. It started with a C-64 with Up Periscope! or The Hunt for Red October. Somehow or another, Silent Hunter followed me home one day, and I put it on my then-new DX2-66 PC, and life just hasn't been the same... Silent Hunter 4 Gold has been my favorite time loser for the last few years (you say it's been NINE YEARS already??!?!?!!), but I'm looking at a $5US for Silent Hunter 5 download on Amazon dot com right now, if Onkel Neal has a shopping link for them... The mods in the SH5 threads might just distract me from 4 for a while... That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Anyway, "Hi!" to you all.

Ahoy shipmates! I hope you don't mind me piggy-backing off your thread prop, but I clicked this thread in hopes to introduce myself as well. Hopefully I'll be able to chat with you all in the future. I've been playing the Silent Hunter franchise for about 4 years myself. I actually started with SH4 prop! Of course it wasn't very chronological, but My dad brought it in and I've been hooked ever since. Both my dad and I are ex-navy, so that was my motivation for trying it out - well that and an immense appreciation for history. At any rate, I have thousands of questions, but I'll ask in more appropriate threads. Just recently picked SH3 up again and have started sinking tonnage left n right. I LOVE this game! Anyways, fair winds and following seas, shipmates! Sink ya later!
