Can't Force into Windowed Mode/Alt-Tabbing

Hello there, I'm having difficulty running the game in windows mode. I have looked through various forum threads and figured out how to set the window mode involving the 16 bit colors. However, when I try to run the game with windowed mode set it crashes on startup with these two errors: failed to initialize the graphics display and Context Create Error : -2147467259. I'm running windows 10. As you may know, the game is Alt-Tabbing by itself whenever it is in fullscreen. I'm sure that's the main reason why everyone uses windowed mod. I have already tried the wrapper fix for it. Thanks for any help!
