Default Ronnie Corbett has died, aged 85.

2016 takes another great name from us.

His chair monologues always were hilarious and he was a fantastic part of the Two Ronnies, man, the laughter he and Ronnie Barker have given me.

RIP Mr Corbett, and thank you very much for all the laughs.

I'll end with the classic sketch, up there with the Dead Parrot sketch from Monty Python:

Not been the greatest of starts to 2016.

RIP Ronnie and thanks for the years of laughter.

Yes he was a great comedian, He was the only man I knew that used a ladder to paint the skirting boards, sadly missed.

I heard of the Two Ronnies back in the 60s and 70s and, if memory serves well, they did make a few appearances on US TV. Where I really became familiar with their talents was through a local Los Angeles radio show called The Cynic's Choice, hosted by a UK ex-pat who played all kinds of UK humor and very prominent on the playlist was the Two Ronnies. I always looked forward to hearing their recordings and always found them very amusing. Ronnie Corbett was always getting the knock about his height:

"When I was small... well, when I was very small..."...

A small man with a huge talent; RIP Ronnie Corbett...
