During patrols, I love to do paperwork. It simply enhances immersion.
Inspired by M4XDmG's German "Kriegstagebuch" template I've created two templates for a typical U.S. submarine deck log. My templates are based on the deck log photos of the U.S.S. Flier (SS-250), which are shown here, although I don't have the exact fonts used. But it's close enough. One PDF is for handwriting, the other for typewriting. To use, download and print. Entries are usually made every 4 hours, i.e. 0000-0400, 0400-0800, 0800-1200, 1200-1600, 1600-2000, 2000-0000. You can see it here very well. However, the U.S.S. Flier also has some pages where one entry is for a longer time, so I guess this was just a convention which could be changed when needed (or when there was no time for proper logging). Downloads: |

Thanks mate! I'd love to do paperwork also during my virtual patrols, and usually write a final report after each one, with sightings, events, attacks... only for fun. Are you using any other documents while on patrol?
Again, thank you ![]() |

I made up a log sheet for contact tracking information. Printed out a stack of them and put them on a clipboard hanging on the wall next to the computer. Somewhere, I've got a binder with the used ones in it.
