Default You take a break for a few years...

...and you come back to find MORE supermods than when you left!

Bloody hell now I have to start thinking again

ex-Grey Wolves player -loved the visuals and my own tweaking. Looking into getting into things, I see War Ace campaign has some stunning interior works, and I hear living Silent Hunter has it's own impeccable artistry...

I know this is another of 'hey guys what do I get' and I know they can be annoying, so rather than phrasing it that way I'm curious why people chose the mod they are running now (especially those who picked or changed recently - within the last year or two)! What does it for you?

Thanks Blitzkreig, that's very helpful :P

I resurrected my old modlist (found the files on an old HDD) and am running GWX, but I might set up another install and try LSH3 out...

Walruss, you're not alone. I've been away from SH3 for a few years and it's the same as starting all over again. Others are in the same boat too.

At least you're back at it again.

Welcome back, same boat for me too. I 'inherited' an old gaming laptop so the Mrs Kaluen doesn't mind. It is XP and only 1gig ram so I will be adding memory soon. Back into GWX, 3rd patrol of my new career but still haven't sighted any DDs yet.
Once I've got the pc sussed, I'll look into the other supermods but wouldn't mind an internal mod for more compartments to look through

I'm thinking of using my 500GB XP HD as a slave and running SH3 and 5 on it. All games and simulations ran great on it with no problems like we're having now. Life was so simple before Vista and the newer operating systems. You'd think MS would listen to the gamers out there and make an OS that has more of the XP gaming features in it, and still be compatible with the older and new games.
