I have started a new career, and out of a full loadout of torpedo's sunk 4 merchants, 2 missed and the rest were duds, so went back to Memel to resupply hoping that the anchor would show up and i could continue my patrol for the one day that's left of it. (the date and time is 0730 Sept 4 1939) so one day left.
I even reversed into the pen and tried Continue Mission and load save and load but still no refit.
Any ideas
PS I don't know what I have done to the cook but every time I talk to him his morale goes down, maybe he has poisoned the crew and they cant restock the boat.

No, you cannot do that.
The objectives are showing in your Captains Log.
Once you leave Memel you cannot go back.
Your new base is going to be in Kiel.
Your new mission starts in Kiel on 4th September 1939.

Under the circumstances you would be better to delete your saves and start a new career again.
