Default How to convert ships from SH4 to SH3?

I asked how to do this before, but once again, no-one actually told me how.

Having gotten nowhere asking for a new download location, I am now asking how I can convert a ship from sh4 to sh3.

Basically, I want the Ise 1943 CV/BB. Molke2005 converted it back in 2007, but it has disappeared from Maik's ftp server (there are two Ise downloads still there, but they are full BB only).

How complicated is the conversion process? I can get models into sh3, albeit without textures. How do I convert the textures? By simply changing the file extension, or downloading photoshop and changing it that way?

Seriously, I want the Ise 1943 so bad. This is how desperate I am. So either someone has to tell me how to convert, or if they have the ship n question in their mods folder, upload it to a file sharing website.

Have you checked out some of the stuff with S3D?

Here

More Here

It works well with both SH3 and 4.

Oh dear lord... and this is why I really want a download location, because I didn't want to have to resort to doing something that molke did 8 years ago. For all I know, I've just got to change the textures to TGA format, instead of DDS.
I know I can get sh4 models into sh3. I could do that with the I-400 and Gyoraitei. But it's the textures I have problems with.

I'm pretty sure that I can copy-paste the model from sh4 into my sh3 mods folder, but I'm pretty sure it would come out as a textureless white hulk.

You did not mention some of the above, just trying to help you out

And there is much to be gained from older threads, even ones as old as I posted. Especially with games that are 10 and 8 years old.

Hopefully someone will be along that can provide you with some more info. If I find anything else I will post back.
