Hello
Just figured i would start a thread and ask: What your favorite sub movie is and why? My favorite movie i would have to say is The Hunt For Red October with, with Sean Connery, Sam Neal and Baldwin not sure which on or if i spelled it right plus others i cant remember there names.

K-17, 72 meters for "modern" subs.
Never liked the Hunt for the Red October, because, like in many Clancy novels characters are flat and the tech masturbation aspect is riddled with mistakes. Though I guess if I was 25 years older then I would have the later problem, as I wouldn't have the technical knowledge to see those mistakes.

![]() I get much more enjoyment from books on the subject than any movies, but I guess I would pick Das Boot. Hollywood's treatment of sub ops is not very good, imo. |
