Lets talk about Silent Hunter 5

Hi guys

I really want to play Silent Hunter 5 but I always ended up playing Silent Hunter 4 instead.

Reason is, Silent Hunter 5 game AI is so easy - never do I ever feel in danger in SH5 because the AI doesnt know how to chase me properly, they dont even know how to use the bombs, the plane ai doesnt even attack me it just flies past me.

So here I am sinking merchant ships in the most undeserved way, I never completed the singleplayer campaigne because i didnt want to walk over it.

I have tried TheDarkWraith AI mod, it made it somewhat better but the destroyers still feel so derp.

I also wanted the old SH4 - SH3 GUI back / also tried TheDarkWraiths mod but it messed up the GUI for me, I even typed SH4Style in the notepad file but to no avail..

What I wanted to ask is, what mods do you guys use to make this game playable and entertaining because how it is now its just way to easy compared to Silent Hunter 3 AI which totally kicked my ass sometimes.

I always come back with giving Silent Hunter 5 another chance but its always the same, feels like an abandoned game which ubisoft didnt even care to fix.

And it has/had potential....

Silent Hunter III from 2005 bring your game play to 2015 with the
LIVING SILENT HUNTER III EDITION 2015 Mega Mod

You can make SH5 as difficult as you want including real navigation. Realism and customizing the game play settings can be fine tuned to suit your game play .
I would say the AI version used in TWOS is quite acceptable.
I would not bother with the Breaking The Fortress mission which can be skipped.
