What's peeing me off is that that Tornado squadron was supposed to be disbanded and the Sentinel fleet to be retired. Now with the war against ISIL they get some more time... Doesn't that mean they were about to retire assets that are actually NEEDED in combat and have no substitutes yet?

Some Typhoons are currently in the process of replacing the Tornado but not until the crews and aircraft are well versed in weapons release procedures.
