Cilla Black dies aged 72

One for the UKers this, our Cilla has passed away at the age of 72.

I must admit, I wasn't a massive fan but from what I heard she was a lovely down to earth person, and the good things that her show 'Surprise, Surprise' did for people was always uplifting.

Still, she'll be with her Bobby now, and that's how she'd want it.

RIP Cilla.

I'm sorry to hear it. I wasn't really a fan either, but I knew her through this Lennon/McCartney song they gave to her.

She had one big hit in Canada back in the 60's, that I remember, You're My World.

All of a sudden I feel old.

Grew up with Cilla on the TV. Not good news at all.

I only just read her story rising from a cloak room girl to her association with John Lennon and Brian Epstein. It's always easy to root for someone like that. Thankfully her music can be found on the web for all to enjoy.
