Default Just a thought

I notice all these mods for Silent Hunter PC games. One thing that may have been missed out(I am downloading not playing as yet) is the possibility of playing as one of those huge Japanese mega-submarines which also had their own personal aeroplane onboard. Any chance this could be introduced into SH5 for instance?

I'd be asking that over in the SH5 part of the forum.

I think there were a few attempts made at modding the Sen-Toku sub in SH4, but none were too successful. SH5 is focused on the European theater, so it doesn't have much in the way of Japanese ships to begin with. That would be a big modelling job to create such a sub from scratch.

Acting in the submarine role they would have been death traps if caught by ASW forces. Not exceptionally deep-diving and slow and difficult to maneuver underwater. Their huge size would have made a lovely sonar echo.
