Hi Everyone,
I was a big fan of some early 90's computer games like the original "Silent Service" and "Silent Service II". I'd really love to have another crack at them (without digging out the old Amiga), so is there anywhere online you can download them easily? I have looked around once before and for some reason I have never managed to get a clean download, or the website looked dodgy. Has there been anywhere any of you had any luck? |

You can get them for $6 on GOG.com.
https://www.gog.com/game/silent_service_12 GOG is a legit website which focuses mainly on older games. Its games are DRM free and run well on modern systems. |

I would be very careful asking about abandonware sites here at Subsim. As the Silent Service series is still available for sale via GoG, you could have your account banned for asking where to download it.

I am going to assume though, that you meant where you could legally obtain it. |

Yes definitely, anything downloaded in any format is always above board. I was just looking for somewhere legitimate where you could get old classics that other users have had experience with. I have been stung before by buying an old game which never actually worked, and would prefer to avoid that happening again.
Thanks for the links, can't wait to get stuck into it! |

Jeeze I'm still playing that one routinely on a very cranky Win 98 computer alongside my SHII and DC games.
