Hamachi Multiplayer (Need Help)

So me and my friend want to play together through Hamachi but when i create a server my friend doesn't see it. We tried doing it the other way around and even tried some suggestions from this forum for using Hamachi.

Wouldn't it be easier to go IP to IP?
