Just discovered hydrophone glitch

Okay, I know the hydrophone is buggy as hell, but I just found that it stops working when above 16 meters....this is ludicrous Why am I losing hydrophone at a deph deeper than periscope depth. I am using the improved hydrophone mod, which had the spammy announcements (TDW mod) (I removed the voice files from that due to the major difference between normal hydrophone operator and the improved operator voice.

Using steel wolves.

If it helps I am also getting ship sighting reports when under water....something is goofy.
