Default Richard Kiel, Bond villain Jaws , Dies at 74.

Quote:
Richard Kiel, whose towering height and distinctive baritone voice defined his nearly 50-year career in television and films, most notably as the steely toothed James Bond villain Jaws, died Wednesday afternoon in Fresno, Calif. at the age of 74, TMZ reports. The actor had been hospitalized after breaking his leg earlier in the week, but it is still unclear if that was related to his death.

RIP Richard, one of the more memorable Bond villains outside of the traditional Blofeld, and one of the few to actually be rehabilitated.

I remember him from The Wild Wild West, back in 1966, but mainly from Silver Streak, with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor (1976).

Thanks to Mystery Science Theatre 3000 I'll always think of him as Eegah! the last caveman.

RIP big guy.

I hope they can find enough iron men to bear your oversized coffin.

I mentioned to my daughter a few months ago about Silver Streak and how our city of Calgary was used to portray Denver from a distance. Ended up ordering it so she could see what the city skyline was like way back then with it's distinctive Husky tower that was eventually renamed the Calgary tower. I hadn't seen the movie in decades so it was a bit of a surprise to see Richard Kiel as well as Patrick McGoohan.
