SH3 Commander Grids

Does anyone know where SH3Commander pulls the Patrol Grid assignments?

Are they 100% random or are they based on boat type & date?

I understand I can choose my own grid at will, I'm just curious as to how the program generates its grid.

Hi,

the SH3_Cmdr takes the grid from the Flotilla.cfg - assigned by Flotilla, Year, Month and type of U-Boat. The same way SH3 does.

How do you change it at will? I can only set it when making a new career?

SH3C lets you select your patrol grid before each patrol. Just click on the box displaying your next grid assignment. You can be given the opportunity to type in a new grid assignment or let SH3C select another grid at random.
