Default Ghost Warships always following me

I have noticed a few times when doing a patrol area search, I will always detect with hydro a group of warships, always at the same distance and bearing. I have even tried running at them on the surface only to submerge for a hydro check and find they are in the same relative place as before!?

Has anyone ever had this happen to them? How do I get them to disappear?

I had that too at several occasions. However, those are not ghosts, they are real. However, due to a bug, they become "stuck" to you and never go away.

There's a few things you can do to get rid of them though: either sail into a friendly harbor -like bremen for example- and let the german destroyers take care of them. The second way i know of is to run have them run into land. that can either be a coast or an island. As long as you "push" them into it,they'll stop following you.

This happened to me just the other day and I was thinking it was an isolated bug, but it happens rather frequently. Just like the sound bug coming out of port where I hear them sawing wood and welding steel over and over.

Luckily,it happens to me not all that frequent, but it's nonetheless frustrating. I've read somewhere that trough saving and loading of the game, the bug would break, but at least in my case that didn't work. So the only option left for me personally,is to run them into the coast or into a friendly port.

The solution to this is saving your game, then loading back.

The ships then become 'unstuck' then go somewhere else.

Man I hate this bug. I died about 5 times from it. Also didn't TheDarkWraith fix this issue with his patcher?
