Default When it hits the fan..

Not sure if I'm screwed, live in a small town, but near a few larger NC cities. Honestly, I'm not prepared for a major crisis.....Guess I would have to wing it and become a land pirate..

What you least expect is what kills you.If I where you I'd be most concerned about a tree limb falling and hitting you in the head or back killing or paralyzing you while you are out walking or metal detecting.

Instafact of 100% of people who died 100% of them died from what killed them. This fact is true every time 80% of the time.

I have no idea the number each year but people have been killed by the hood of their semi striking them in the head as they where opening the hood and either breaking their neck or causing massive head trauma.(the hoods tilt forwards so a gust of wind at the wrong time is what does it and standing in the wrong place I bet it was more common in the cab over more weight)

I wonder how many people die from tripping out of bed in the morning?

Well I've been here in NC for about a week now. I love this state. I especially love being out here 5 minutes from a beach with my family. I also love the Battleship that's parked across town.

BUUUUTTTT.....

If something went down, this just confirms that i'd rather be back home...or maybe in Wyoming.

The Cab over tractors have a hydraulic jack mechanism to raise the cab for access to the motor and a locking mechanism to prevent the thing from falling and crunching you.

As for shtuff hitting the fan... either turn off the fan or move the bloody thing.

I try not to fret about the many "inevitables" spouted by the doomsayers. Your time will come when it comes. It kind of reminds me of the old vaudeville joke about the man who was extremely afraid of flying, so he only travelled by train. He died in a train wreck: a plane crashed into it...

Just live life to the full and don't live in fear. We all die at some point so make the most of it while you can.

I have an "inevitable for you all - you're going to die. Moving to a safer spot might postpone it, or it might put you in the right place at the right time for that tree. He's going to die. She's going to die. You're going to die. I'm going to <urk> *thud*...

I love maps of America. Every time I think they were serious about how much land each state got for itself, or they were very drunk, then in the middle they either sobered up or got a schoolkid with a pencil and ruler to divvy it all out.

He was of drinking age by the time it came to Idaho though.

We've all got to go somehow. Some ways are better than others but it's always the ones left behind who suffer no matter which way.

True forgot about the jack on COEs.

I meaning the hood as it is being opened like Volvo they kinda just drop a bit. I like my Cascadia the hood is always slowed by shocks.
