Trio Of Mods Help Losing My Mind Grrrrrrrrrr
Hiya's,
Quick background scenario Up until new gpu i stayed away from high vis fx like FX Update and anything overly smoking ![]() So i had mods like ......... Old Style Explosions V1.1, Enhanced funnel smoke Now i can whack settings up and enjoy the full-on explosions and smoking merchants going under But i cannot for the life of me get one of my all time favourite mods to work without me crashing The mod is 3D_Deck_Splash_FX_v1_0_0_byTheBeast or its variant 3D_Deck_Splash_FX_v1_0_0_KZS_Compat_byTheBeast I have so far been phaffing with so many mods which either got updated since i was awol or have bveen surpassed DynEnv has sobers 3d spray in, so all's good there Newui's has KZS wet look mod FX Update (0022) seems to have vals for the kzs wet look I would love to keep the FX Update now that i can use it I have tried removing the vals from Newui's and removing the perlon part Any ideas ? i have tried about every config to get the three mods to work together, mod list below, stable so far .......... Yeah, that's done It seems for some reason the FX which contains the kzs hull wetness mod (newui's also) just won't get on with even the 3d deck spray kzs modded version, newui's works with either flavour combo of 3d deck spray, so it's gotta be something in FX I have compared older FX without the kzs etc, i must be missing something simple that can be removed or edited I just think that both 3d sprays (beast/sober) really make the visuals from the con I note others that have uploaded their mod lists have FX but no 3d deck spray, so i might pm one to see if it's as i find that something not compatible Looks weird looking out on bridge to a sprayless decking hehe Will have another squint through the vals and other parts in FX, gotta be overlooking the obvious as usual lmao Cheers

Yeah, both the fx_update added mod and the patcher added mod are identical So anyone can use either Gonna try going through every single item, and compare to find a way to remove the kzs wetness from fx as even though it 's in newui's i have never had a problem Just so weird, i'm sure i checked lastnight fx against newui's and found nothing strange, i did remove all the vals from subs in newui's and the perlon edited part got junked, think i even tried editing things i've never touched before lol Just need to double check these two fully, that will give me the answer for sure Ohh well, no subbing tonight ![]() Take Care Cheers

Think i sorted it
No need for me to fiddle around in each mod I just have to have both variants of 3d deck spray installed last, i mean very last mods added So far all's well Just gotta test docking now, but no crashes in-play and deck looks like it should again ![]() ps @ no kzs mod needed, it's in newui's and fx

Would going back to FX 21 be an option if you cannot fix it?
This would allow you a bit of room for manoeuvre with these other mods you want to use?

It's all sorted now luckily ![]() ![]() Just got one niggle with fx 0 0 2 2 , it's the lag when the red flares fire off ships I saw a patch somewhere ages ago and maybe another but different wording (does same job though) if not i'm sure TDW covered how to disable it somewheres So besides installing that and now i see a dynenv updated gale patch/mod, i think i'm all sorted I can now listen to lots of music via gramophone or radio while admiring the scenery (i mean inbetween air attacks lol) ![]() Thanks
