Default BARF vs Natural Sinking Mechanics

Ahoy!

In search for a more realistic damage model i stumbled over BARF + damage assessment [http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show....php?t=164953] and it definitely improved the gameplay loads imho.

Now i also discovered another mod, seemingly following a different philosophy, with a more or less equal goal: Natural Sinking Mechanics [http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show....php?t=118005]..

My question is: How do these 2 mods compare to each other? What do most people prefer? What are the pros/cons of the respective mods?

I don't want to start a battle of what is the 'better' mod as i am sure both are great in there own and eventually it's gonna be a subjective matter. Not sure if i should download the NSM since it seems promising, but BARF seems to be more popular?

Well for starters NSM is for Silent Hunter 4 while Barf is for Silent Hunter 5. You try to load NSM on SH5 or Barf on SH4 and you're asking for a heap of trouble.
