Default Crew awards went missing

G'day Subsim,

A quick question; I had a patrol end with medals/promotions, gave a cross in gold to my chief engineer, expecting no fatigue. That my have been the case for a while into my next patrol, but he suddenly had an fatigued mark on him. Check him out, no medal! I had saved the game mid patrol and it seems to have gone missing from there.
Is there a way to edit it back on? I know that sh3 commander can give awards but they have no affect on the game, is there another way?

I am not sure giving medals will prevent getting tired. Even Hitler himself needs some sleep and rest.

Off the subject, Black letter History from Invasion of Normandy : "On the basis of the information at hand, Rommel, commander of the German theater of war, was in a position to direct these forces, but he could not because they were not under his effective control; these forces instead could be ordered only by the Supreme Commander, Adolf Hitler. During the decisive morning of D-Day Hitler was deeply sleeping in his "Eagle's Nest" in Berchtesgaden and no official among the war heroes, advisers and high officials had the courage to challenge Hitler's anger waking him, thus "reminding" him of his duties as supreme head. These are not picturesque and ironic elements of a situation, but represent the realty of the Nazi Reich. "

Now about your question, which save did you used to donate the medals (after patrol at base or before patrol at base), maybe you reloaded the wrong save ? You may also disable or use GWX 8 hours fatigue model with SH3 Commander.

Yeah, I think I may have given them medals the night before and saved, but launched with the automatically created save game. It's a pain because that had some serious fruit salad in it. By the way, apparently the cross in gold is meant to give immunity to fatigue in the standard model. Cheers mate.

Barker262:

You can manually award as many medals as you want by simply editing the Patrols_0.cfg file for your current player's career. Only do this while in port and before starting your next career patrol.

Scroll to the bottom of the file and change the 0's to however many you want. You can also give yourself the ability to award qualifications, promotions, and as much renown as you want.

NbMedalsUboat=0
NbMedalsFront=0
NbMedalsKnights=0
NbMedalsGerman=0
NbMedals1stCross=0
NbMedals2ndCross=0

PromotionsNb=0
AssignQual=No
............change to Yes to award 1 qualification
Flotilla=903
NbDaysInBase=35
HullIntegrity=100.000000
DeltaRenown=10698.........as much as you want; no limits
NbSaves=0
ChangedRank=No

Save the file. Before leaving port to start your next career patrol, go to the Wehrpass book 1st and award the medals, promotions, and the qualification you gave yourself.
