A Night of 1st's

I'm soo happy!
I am on my first patrol of my first career on SH4 (vanilla V1.4 with a small mod to fix the "flying or sub on rails" bug). But the real news here is I've sunk my 1st merchant! And my first sinking with manual tdc! Never managed a hit on SH3 on manual so I count this as my 1st TRUE sinking.
Medium Old Composite Freighter, 3 torps fired, 3 hits, 3998 tons in the bag

Just wanted to share because I was out of my seat with joy and was quickly told to shut up because the wife was trying to watch TV. Now i'm part of the elite manual tdc crew and she couldn't care less. So all you fellow subsim captains get to here about it

Thank you it means so much more when you've identified, ranged, set aob and found out the speed, checked and double checked before firing and crossing you fingers. Rather than locking on, waiting for the arrow to turn green, firing and (almost) always scoring a hit.

BUT!!!
Who's idea was it to put the "fire torpedo" key right next to the increase tc key? I've fired 4torps out into the big empty ocean due to hitting the wrong key

If you want to change that you can easily added it in the commands.cfg.

Copy and Past this line in and remove the other:

[Cmd313]
Name=Fire_torpedo
Ctxt=1
Key0=0x0D,c,"Ctrl+Enter"
