Default US 3rd largest US coal ash spill

DP was warned years ago to clean up this site, but didn't...so here we go. I live here, but our water intake is upstream from the spill, but where I recently lived and many family members still do, their water intake will suffer. My Uncle found several dead ducks on the bank.

Duke Power says by "their standards the water appears safe" although other testing shows water toxic...

The lovely Dan looks like a gray mud river that will effect way up into Va...

I love it how people say coal power is perfectly safe and then this kind of thing happens
ever hear of flash fill? it uses coal ash from power plants as an ingrediant. It is used when a util company has to fill in a spot of road after repairing something. fast to harden, cheap, and just as solid as concrete. There was a law proposed here in ohio that would label coal ash as toxic and would make it impossible to use flash fill... Duke Power lobbied against it and the law failed.
