sh4 realism setting problem

Aloha, i am new to this forum, and i hope somebody can help me with the next problem. I use a new windows 7 pc, installed sh4 as it should be.
Everything works ok. only one thing gives trouble, no matter what i do.
I want to change the realism options, i switch to custom mode and make my own adjustments. Then start a new career, and start the game. When playing, i find every single time, that the adjustments i had make, are changed again. When i go look it's back to medium realism.So..i have the 1.4 version, before this, i didn't have this problem. There must be an 1.5 version, but i can not find it yet, and of course i don't know if this will fix the problem.So..anyone??Thanks for your trouble..

Welcome to the forums! When starting a career, when in your office, use the "radio" on the shelf on the left hand side to set realism settings in career mode. That should do it

its a known game bug, the settings reset when you start the game so you need to set it from in the office for them to be saved and used in the game.

lots of people dont notice it at first or if they do they just ignore it and play the way the game has it set

You can also change it when you are on patrol and have a saved game. Quit SH4, go to

C:\Users\username\Documents\SH4\data\cfg\SaveGames\savegamenumber and edit the gameplaysettings.cfg.

The entries in the .cfg are pretty self explanatory.
