Default Visual contact spotting distance

Is it possible to edit it or is it hardcoded?


I find it very annoying to zoom in with UZO on the exact bearing that the contact was spotted on and see absolutely nothing. My crew have the vision of Legolas apparently.

Apologies if this has already been answered.
