Default Lag again -.-"

Even though i have upgraded my gfx to HD 7750 1GB DDR5.
I am getting lag when ship explodes (tearing apart) also i have noticed this in other games aswell.
like Amnesia,Penumbra...
When there is explosion i get lag.
But over 100 fps in these games when no explosion???
Also i have lag when in external view i use time compression 8x or more ( no lag till 8x )
and i get lag on world map when use time compresion over 2000-4000x ( in silent hunter 4 lag after 5000x )

Than i have told myself than this cannot be gfx problem, only cpu.

I think this shi** cpu is bottelnecking/causing lag in these games (even thought no lag at 99% of time)

so here is my specs:

CPU : Intel 2.2 GhZ dual core e1500
RAM: 2GB DDR2 800MHZ
GFX: HD 7750 1GB DDR5
PSU: CORSAIR VS 550W
HDD: TOSHIBA 500GB

I think cpu causes this lag. I am planning to upgrade it to intel core 2 duo 2.9 GhZ
My motherboard supports only socket 775 processors.

any advices?

I used this in SH5 and it seemed to work OK for me. I can't guarantee it will work in SH3. Even if it doesn't, you're no worse off.

To be honest your cpu should be perfectly adequate for sh3, i used to run stock sh3 on a 1.2GHz pentium 3 with a nice steady framerate.
I would certainly invest in some more system ram though, you should be able to pick up 8Gb fairly cheaply+ if you aquire some additional ram dont forget to apply the 4Gb patch to the game so it can take advantage of the extra memory.

Also since you mention getting 100+fps, i would suggest turning on vsync, running with an unlocked framerate can "feel" really laggy simply because your fps is going way beyond what your monitor can display, i had a similar issue with sh5, getting fps between 50-120 with vsync off felt a bit of a wild ride, going from smooth to laggy in an instant, turning on vsync and locking the fps to 60Hz smoothed everything out.

Thanks for advice!
Thing is i have constant 150 fps with Silent Hunter 3 but when ship breaks apart it drops to less than 20 and it comes again to 150 after that.
Same happens with other games, Silent Hunter 4 i run at 1280x1024 at ultra settings with fps over 60 all the times, but when ship is about to sink breaking apart it lags ( for mili second , like frame skipping ) for short time than back to 70 fps.
With other games like Amnesia when doors breaks fps drops from over 100 to less than 20 and than back again.
I am not sure if this is RAM or CPU or HDD or background running software fault...

Does this happen in stock SH3, or just GWX3... or do you have a bucketload of mods applied. If so, which?

[EDIT]Reducing particle density might help.
