Default What has the game done to You!?

Rather than hijack a help request post, let me pose a question that just came up thanks to Admiral Halsey; what is the most illogical patrol order the game has ever issued to you?

Mine would have to be to recon Hiroshima harbor when I was based out of Freemantle in an S boat. I suppose the CO of the base was piqued after he pulled strings to get me a new boat and I turned it down. "Oh yeah you self-righteous clown? We'll see about That."

To drop off an agent on Luzon...on 8th December 1941 when all of the island is still Allied territory and not a single Japanese soldier has set foot in the Philippines. What? Did he just need a lift?

If you're playing stock, expect the illogical.

@Dread

Maybe all the jeeps had been requistioned from the motor pool?

Possibly. However, in the light of recent events, I've concluded that maybe even in 1941 we were big into spying on our own allies. Or even on ourselves.

I'm thinking there needs to be a mission where your drop off a saboteur at the Bureau of Ordinance to blow up all those seat-polishing bureaucrats who cursed us with a non functioning torpedo that they claim is working as designed.

I guess i'll just repeat the post you mentioned. It had me head to Tokyo Bay for photo recon for my very first mission ever.

How about dropping off supplies to friendly forces in Formosa, that was my first mission ever in SH4.

How about dropping an agent in Japan.
Classy move, I bet a white man was able to fit right in.

that is rich.

Well, maybe they ported for fuel and liberty, and the declaration of war caught them by surprise. Manilla's port authority gave them 72 hours to go to sea, much to the chagrin of the American governor.

Being stationed in Brest and constantly being told they want me to patrol the waters north of Kola Bay. I never go by the way. I think the other was while stationed at Penag they wanted me to sail to Melbourne Australia ... I must have lost my charts on that one because I ended up in the Gulf of Oman and sank about 30,000 tonnes. Vice Admiral Doenitz tolerates my insubordination to a degree.
