Default Is it possible to access the Windowed mode in SH5?

It may be due to the fact that I'm very perceptive at overlooking the obvious but I wonder if there is any way to run SH5 in the Windowed mode rather than only full screen?

The reason for this is that I've discovered among the bazillions of excellent MODs available for SH5 two which I'd like to use during the game but since they are both stand-alone utilities, i.e., .exes, and I see no way to activate them in the full screen mode I'm not sure how I would access them during the game.

Both of these are solution solvers; one for the hydrophone and the other an AOB solver. Activated out of the game they both seem as if they would be quite helpful. Their "read mes" don't even mention using the JSGME mod enableror nor do they have any other installation instructions

My thanks in advance for any help

Thanks so much, Dark Wraith. The majority of "the bazillions" of excellent MODS I'm using are yours and they make SH5 a whole new world!

Oops, my mistake! SH5 still works only in the full screen mode whether the full screen/Windowed box in SH5 options is checked or not.

Any other ideas? In Flight Simulator X I can change it from one mode to the other by hitting ALT+ENTER but that doesn't seem to work with SH5.

Are there, perhaps, any key combinations that should work with SH5?

My thanks in advance for any help.

Hi.

You should be able to play SH5 in windowed mode by lowering your resolution ingame to something lower than your monitors native resolution and window mode selected in games options menu.

What's your monitors native resolution?

What's your desktop resolution?

Regards.

Echolt.

PS (I am playing in windowed mode). My monitors native res is 1920x1200. My games res is 1680x1050. Your game is not minimized to the taskbar when you press the Windows key?

Try 1600x900. After a Staem update my res was set to this and I had Windowed Mode. Went to full native res and it was back to full screen again.

I have windowed mode check and running native resolution. I can alt tab then my game has the minimize button in top right if I need to minimize. Can barely see it. So its kind of like windowed mode

Default Is it possible to access the Windowed mode in SH5?

To all who tried to help.....Thanks so much.

Echelot broke the code! My monitor resolution was 1280*960 4:3 60Hz and my in game resolution was exactly the same. Following his advice and using the resolution recommended as "native" iin the monitor's manual, 1280*1024, by using NVidia control panel it worked perfectly. I left the game resolution at a lower setting, the same as before, 1280*960.

In the in game options I can now select Windowed or full screen image on the monitor as desired and it works.
