Recently completed a patrol in Nautilus. January, 1943. Staging out of Midway, we were to patrol the Bismarck Sea. Off Rabaul, encountered a 3,000t freighter and attacked. Fired 4 tubes; MKXIVs, slow speed, contact pistols.
Two went under, one plumb disappeared, and one hit. Of course it did not explode.
(Running TMO2.5 + RSRD + Traveller Mod; 100% realism.)
She was unescorted, so we surfaced and blew her out of her kimono with the the 6" rifles.
Thence to Guam.
Crept into Agana harbor at night. Found two docked freighters. Fired a total of 14 fish to sink both. Duds. (strangely, no one came to their rescue).

Got orders to head for the barn. Back at Midway, I was authorized to promote two crewmembers, and hand out a NAVCOM. But no matter WHAT I did. I couldn't give out the medal or the promotions. I do know how to do this and have done it with no trouble before. But not this time for some reason. Our total bag came to just over 10,000 tons, not a bad performance for something like 70% dud torpedoes, so what the hell?

Anyone else had this happen?

If you have too many officers TMO will not let you give any more promotions.
You should be able to give out medals. Sounds like a glitch.

70% duds sounds about right for TMO.
