Hmmm...having read lots of posts about 'Starting at sea' in SH3 Commander and being unable to find the option, I checked the 'About...' for the version number.
I've now demoted myself to matrosen, under constant supervision. |

Click on the spanner/wrench at the bottom of Commander then Career Options.
