Missing "ship sinking sounds" fix?

I was just wondering if anyone was able to fix the missing sounds of a ship sinking. I cannot hear it at all thru the hydrophones, and can only hear it thru the hull if I'm parked right next to the sinking ship. I found a couple of forum posts where someone posted a fix, but unfortunately their download links are dead.

I remember seeing two of them. Traveller Mod for TMO was one. It says download link is unavailable, and the other was a post where someone supposedly fixed the missing sound of the sinking ships, however their link was dead also. I unfortunately cannot remember the name of the person who posted it. It was titled something different and the sound fix was one of several listed in his post. It was an old thread, so that's probably why it's dead. He said the problem was a hardwired glitch in the stock version of SH4.

there are a lot of sound problems in the game, some are errors in the ships files and some are just randomly omitted sounds not called on to play because sometimes its the sound controller file has issues

its different for each ship so often if sound is missing for one then that's just how it is. there are a lot of little things we have to live with not working right

i use tmo2.5 with rsrd and om+omegu....i hear all sinking sounds no problem even underwater on hydrphone station
