I wonder what boat they used for the filming, AFAIK the few WW2 types that remained in the postwar navy had been streamlined by then and they don't seem to match the italian boats exported to Argentina or Spain, nor any specific italian boat I know in general, though I don't claim to to have it checked against every class, variant and refit. It does not look like a run of the mill US or british boat either, unless it was given a good vismod.
