I am far from being an expert and I do not even claim to be very knowledgeably, but the way I have used this great feature is you make your way to the main menu. When you see the main menu you select new career. When you advance to that menu, then you type silentotto, the entire game selection lights up. Click on the the part of the game you wish to play, enter that part of the game , when you are in the sub pen, select the options you want for the game ,save the game and then go to the main menu and load the game you just saved. Go and sink every thing you can find. You are in effect starting a new game. It does work, I have used this many times, usually when I get bored of the area of patrol I am in. I am not sure what you mean by "not starting over" If you use silentotto you are starting over only in a different area of SH 5 ![]() |

As far as starting over, I have started over many, many , many times. Some times it is my ineptness, sometimes it is adding a mod the talented modders on this site put out there, or wound up with mod soup that does not work. I felt a lot better when I read some very seasoned players are still in 1939. I am sure they are playing with 100% realism. If this is your type of sim hang in there. Everyday I get into SH 5 I learn something I did not know
