TMO and the Tambor

I was just given a Tambor class in TMO 2.5 as an upgrade from a Sargo (my first upgrade of this career). Is this the "Tambor bug", where I will get stuck with this boat, or normal? I thought I had read that the Tambor problem was only when upgrading from Gato or higher classes.

I do have the 1_TMO_25_small_patch installed, at least I think I do, it shows up in my list of activated mods.

It also messed with my crew positions. It moved all of my officers from the conning tower into empty slots in the crew berthing.

If you are running the TMO small patch, then no, your new boat is not part of that problem, the patch really does fix that issue. As far as your crew being jostled, I don't know much about the crew size of a sargo, though I don't suppose they are much smaller than a Tambor class boat, I've yet to choose a Sargo for a career starter. So as far as I know reassigning your crew is all you will need to do, other than adding any crew you may need to fill whatever vacancies you have on the new boat.
