Do not put SH4 (or any other game/sim that needs to write to files) into either the "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)" folders. Either create a separate root directory or a separate folder in the directory of your choice and install the game/sim folder there (I set up "C:\SubSims" and put each individual game folder there). An App like "TweakUAC" can also help. However, even with those precautions, I still had to install the program "Game Booster" in order to run SH4 and SH5. Some process or service, from Windows and/or the BIOS was stopping both of those programs from loading and running properly. It surprised me that the same thing was not interfering with SHIII/GWX3 or SH3 Commander, though...oh well. ![]() Good hunting... |
