Convicted killer suing victoms family

This guy is suing the victims family because he can't serve his sentence in Canada, where he is from. He says the family is causing him emotional distress.

Well, such things happens more then once.
In my country the outcome isn't always in favor of the victims of the crime.

There is an example about how a burglar sued the owner of a house because
the owner has beaten the burglar.

You may use force to remove a burglar as long as you don't hurt the poor guy.

There are very few things that can prevent someone from suing someone else.

Being able to successfully bring suit against someone is a different story.

I can't imagine this suit having much success

Yep, but when such silly suits are allowed, family members can go through loss of work, emotional trauma, etc. I recall another lawsuit a criminal did, had half the family tied up in court for weeks.

Like a counter suit would mean anything in this case.
