Default Got my self a nasty flu

It have been years since last time I had real one.

My body feels like the day after a heavy party with lots of drinking

That's the problem I haven't done that so this hangover-feeling is not good

In a couple of days It's will be gone.

Hot shower, and into the prewarmed bed, sweating like hell, and then sweat some more. Sleep a lot when possible. Plenty of hot fruit tea with plenty of Ascorbic Acid (when I am ill I can consume 15-20 times of that white stuff than when I am healthy, so obviously the body has some internal use for it, somehow...). No medical drugs, it only delays the process op fighting the infection. Push down fever only when it becomes threatening, the fever is the body's weapon. At best take some Aspirin occasionally, to help against the headache and "gelantine blood".

Thanks for your advise. Can tell you that last night I sleeped awful woked most of the time because of all this coughing and I was sweating a lot. I take some aspirine to fight the pain in the body. However today I went to the drugstore to buy some over the counter medicine(not medicine on prescription) against my dry coughing, cause it hurt a lot in my throat when I cough

You're right the body has to fight it by it self.

Markus

when I get that kind of flu, I always get it in the late afternoon. I then imediately try all I can to artificially drive up my temperature and to sweat as much as I can. The first night usually is very nasty, also includes ague (Schüttelfrost). But often I already fully recover over the next day. Without Ascorbic Acid I take three times as long, though. I easily consume 5-6 tea spoons over the day without needing to visit the toilet. When I am healthy, I can take just the small tip of a knife at max. Obviosuly, that stuff gets used somehow. It does not kill bugs, but it seems to load up the stockpile of ammo for the immune system. Proxy war, so to speak.

Stay hot, rest, sweat, drink a lot of hot citron tea. That's the best.

One of the best things I found for a bad sore throat is to sip cherry brandy, and it tastes nice!!
Get well soon.

Hot toddies are the best thing for a cold. If you have access to a sauna go and sweat your brains out. Just do not drink the toddies in the sauna.

Today I woke and was feeling quite well. So it have been about 2½ days with fever and a body that feels like it have been at some party that I'm not aware of.

Maybe the fever is gone etc. I know that it can come back without any warning if I ignore the signal from the body.

Might as well take an extra day or two off just to make sure you are better.
