Default Japan Earthquake 2 years ago, before and after pictures

http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2...-after/100469/

You have to click on each image to get the "before" shot.

Having the comparison really brings out the extent of the damage.

If that kind of disaster happened in Slovenia, the before/after pictures would have been the same

Lots of changes. Today still lots of housing not rebuilt, I wonder if they've moved elsewhere or just not got around to it yet?

Thanks for the link.

Quite a bit of clean up of the debris. The housing question might be because of contaminated water systems. I can only imagine the sewer systems and clean water systems were affected requiring a lot of work. Just a guess though.

Got to hand it to the Japanese how they handle with situations like this.

Have a great deal of respect for them

Maybe we should give Detroit to the Japanese?

They have definitely been busy.

We dropped two nukes on them. I think they have been punished enough.

Economic downturn, they've probably moved to other houses. It'll be a while before those areas are rebuilt sadly.

Still can't believe the amount of damage they took. They have really been working on it, that's for sure.
