Default hydrophone hunting help

hey guys, was wondering if someone could point me in the right directionfor a tutorial about figuring out the range of something cause even with dtw mod the soundguy never can tell me the range of anything so I find myself at a disadvantage.... also...when figuring this stuff out should u always mark a 0 degree angle from the sub to triangulate the other bearings of the target or? also is there a way to do the calculations on the run or must u stay still to get everything sorted out?

To get the hydro/sonar range to work, you HAVE to sit at the hydro station.
Otherwise icons will remain greyed.

oh I know ive been at the hydrostation...however I prob should have mentioned that im playing with 100% realism as well and real navigation... so I don't have hydro lines or anything like that to help me out... watched stoniams tut about hydro hunting but one big diff is that my soundguy don't ever know the distance and most of the time its greyed out

So it's the real nav mod wich desable this feature imo.
If you don't have those icons even in hydro station, that's it!

dirty deal... is there a particular order that i should put these mods in? so one doesnt cancel out the other? i want to play as real as i can and dont want to resort to easy mode where the line tells me where they are...love the realism of it all

install my tutorials and run the 4 bearings one.
It is a step by step ingame tutorial for use with or without real nav
