Default Play square enix classics inside your browser for free!

http://beta.coreonline.com/

Give it a shot! You can play some classics streamed to your browser for free (ad supported)

I mean, if you didn't get the chance to fall in love with lara croft and 47 the first chance around, you owe it to yourself to play the classics.

Not even Final Fantasy 7 and 8?
Classics. But, that's my humble opinion of course.

Never played Final Fantasy and I don't want to....they honestly look stupid...

That's just my humble opinion.

Give it a shot, you will fall in love with Lara or 47, take your pick!

Mind you, square enix owns Eidos now, and they have their fair share of classics (Tomb Raider, Hitman, Deus Ex)

While I support your right to hate a game company.... Chrono Trigger is one of the greatest games of all time. Period.

I have a soft spot for FFIX, it's the wife and I's game. Kind of reintroduced me to the Final Fantasy series after a disastrous first meeting with FFVII.

Chrono Trigger is absolutely awesome though, I do agree.

Perhaps one day Squenix will stop remaking Final Fantasy XIII long enough to revisit some of their classics in a proper fashion. Like that FFVII demo intro they did for the PS3 that had so many people hyped up for a remade FFVII.
(for those who know not of what I speak - )

Time will tell, after Uematsu left I feel that something of the old spark has gone out of the series, the music for one.

That's not all: I'm also going to use this thread to share my experiences of not playing the games you guys are talking about. I'll start with Chrono Trigger: I didn't play it. It was very exciting not to play it. I thought playing with the idea of not playing it was thrilling and indeed the excitement of not experiencing it was quite astounding. I really liked the special effects that I never got to see, but the story (which I didn't read and have no idea what it's about) really didn't appeal to me. But all in all, not playing it was a very interesting experience, though I must say it felt a little cliche every now and then. Anyway I'm giving it 9/10 for being great non-play game.

My experience is similar that of not having played Deus Ex at all, I would never ever suggest any of you to ever play it. It's worth not to play it and not enjoy the storyline. I've never bothered with it so I would suggest you to do the same.

Me neither. Besides, I already know it sucks anyway. It's my opinion and I have right to express it. It's a free Internet.

And don't you fanbois try telling me otherwise!

Edit: Okay, before someone blows his top, allow me to put my seriousy-hat on. I used to play Chrono Trigger a lot when I was a kid and can't remember how many times I completed it. It was awesome with all the different endings and how stuff done in the past had an impact on later eras. The only gripe I really have is that sometimes the plot seemed to have a few loose ends that didn't really relate to anything. I remember this huge black space ship that just appeared in the sky and stayed there through all the eras. In the end its only purpose seemed to be grinding experience.

Final Fantasy 7 I have completed a few times. A good game, especially for its age. I didn't like it when I was younger but now as a few years older I have grown to appreciate it. It's just a shame it's so easy. Chrono Trigger had lots of stuff you could go hunt on your own time when not following the main plot and having that stuff made the game much easier. In Final Fantasy 7 having the stuff doesn't really matter. I haven't ever bothered to go after any of the ultimate weapons or super spells because I can easily complete the game without them as well. I also felt that the requirements for those items were worse than in Chrono which further made me not want to go fetch them. Each to his own though.

I remember having played FF 8 too, but then lost the discs when I was about half way through the game. It felt nice up until that point at least. I'm also fond of FF 6 which I have completed once. Kefka was a funny villain, though his misanthropy wore thin pretty quickly. I can't decide if I hated it more than Sephiroth's endless angst over everything, including the coffee.
