And I have purchased both SH4 and SH5 when they released, but want to play again and I'm not sure which to go with.
I remember SH5 had some serious UI issues and the game just wasn't very fun, so I'm asking for a recommendation. Thanks! |

Welcome back. Since you have experience, we can give you a more complicated job. You can clean the inside of the engines.
And about your question. I've only had sh4. There are many who have gotten sh5, didn't like it, and went back to 4. I know there are now mods that fixed 5. You might want to go the the sh5 site for info about that.

![]() Here, you will probably get recommendations for SH4. I think if you like the Pacific theater, you will like SH4. If you want to have the U-boat experience you might well prefer SH5. I knew SH5 was not going to be my favorite, as it lacks a complete war campaign, requires very intensive modding/tweeking, and only has a type VII boat. TBH, I much prefer being in the USN, anyway. |

I would stay with SH4, you have the option of using many great MOD's, and if you want to play U-Boat, install OPMONSON. Great MOD for U-Boat
