WARNING
Ubisoft has a new SH5 patch and autoupdate. This will overwrite your mod files. You will return to stock game. Unload all your mods before patching. Print out the mod list using JGSME so you can reload them after patching.

The mod file names are the same ones used by Ubisoft, since they are replacements. The patch uses the same names so an overwrite happens.
I used JGSME to unload all mods (after printing my mod list) and then reloaded each mod. I'm back to what I had, almost. There are some slight differences to figure out, mostly visual I hope. ![]()

Rather than printing a mod list and reactivating each mod manually, why not just use the Save Mod Profile and Load Mod Profile functions under the Tasks pop-up menu in JSGME? Easier and not as prone to make mistakes as I am.

A patch after almost 4 years of silence? I don't think so.

I figured out how it patched me up.
I have been playing "offline" for many months, since I don't do multiplayer. I think that on this occasion Ubisoft saw my update level when they updated their Ubisoft launcher. Anyway, it announced an update was available and I said go ahead. Whether it was a 'new' patch or not was the only 'error' in my post. It was new to me. It would be new to anyone else who, like me, was playing offline all the time. Fact remains true, the patching will overwrite installed mod files whatever the version level. I didn't know JGSME had a feature to help so I learned with this experience. I will go back to sleep now, in offline mode. ![]()
