LAG WITH TIME COMPRESSION

[/FONT]

If your PC is a bit outdated but perhaps can still play on high graphics, yet you seem to get lag when using high time compression traveling those long distances to your patrol area, here's something you might try.

ESC. out of the game, change the graphics to low, go back to the game and make that long journey to the patrol area at high compression. Or, until you run into some good targets.

Then, ESC. back out of the game and change the graphics back to high. Go back to the game and SINK some ships.

Works for me. Good hunting.

Changing the graphics has little to no effect why you're at the map going across the ocean, those settings effect more things you see in sub mode.
Simply, the map graphics are so simple, they have little pull. The lag at the map has more to do with ram and chip speed.

I understand what you're saying, but I seem to be able run on high when playing but it wants to catch and lag around 3xxx. On low I seem to be able to run 7xxx.

I'm planning to build a new gaming PC and I'm saving my pennies.

I had that lag issue for some time but after I realized I was running an older RSRD with the latest version of TMO and corrected that mistake I didnt seem to have it occur any longer.
