Uplay not only refuses to take old password, but also rejects new password after the whole "Email password reset" process... Tried restart/reboot... wait awhile... Nothing works and now I can't even play SH5 offline because I "Have to" login to Uplay at least once...
I have not created a new account, as the whole thing stinks of UBISoft forcing more marketing on those who have chosen not to be marketed to/spammed to death.... Anyone else getting the same thing? |

Yes, Yes, Yes, glad someone else finaly noticed.
![]() I wasted hours dealing with this. I went through the whole carry-on of reseting passwords, registering online accounts, changing emails providers....arghhhh!!!! As if I'd remember an unwanted account password for some random webste needed to play a game bought on a disk and installed on my own machine......rrrrrrr! The worst part was, I was using the right password only to find in the end it was simply a poorly designed UI that was the problem!!!!! Thanks Ubi, like we needed more disencentives to use this game. IIRC (all be it through a drunken haze (can't bring it up to recheck it either)) in the 'login' notification' window it always prominently comes up asking you to check your password regardless of whether it is right or not. In the same window there is a discrete button you should have pressed that will allow you to continue! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

My problem was a simple matter of not using the correct caps when typing in my username and/or password. (it wouldn't specify which...) so, after creating a new account which, my e-mail address was refused.... ![]() After I typed it right I had no problem at all. Lesson learned for me; when I make create a copy of my info for this account, I make sure to type the same as I entered it in the website. Hope your problem is this simple. D40 ![]()

I've never been able to play SH5 since Ubi screwed with the Update...All i get is a blue background and when i punch in the name / password, all i get is "you need to log in if this is your first time"
I can log in through Uplay web site, but can never get past the said point when trying to load the game...im gutted really, i was having a ball with SH5 just prior. |

Months ago I had a corruption error for the launcher. I did a search for the ubisoft game launcher and reinstalled the program. Sounds like you have a configuration issue with login. I would uninstall the program, delete any registry entries and program folder data first, then reinstall the launcher. I have had no problems with multiple game launcher updates since. |

I call and found out I had two UPLAY accounts. One was was with Yahoo and the other with Windows live mail. I called them and they worked it out for me. No problems since then.

![]() I just bought another ubi game (Anno 2070) which updated Uplay then wouldn't let me sign in. Constant "If this is your first time using Uplay on this computer..." yellow text box responses. I nearly ended up throwing something at the screen I was so PO'ed. Deselecting "Always Run Uplay in Offline Mode" fixed it. Now I can crack open a Guinness and actually play a game instead of lots of *&#$%!!! ![]() Happy Xmas guys ![]() |
