Has anybody written something like a tactical primer for the type XXI?
For now I have been trying to figure out an optimal snorting routine. Initially I came to periscope depth at dusk, topped the battery, dived and spent the rest of the night at 4 knots, came up again before dawn, topped again, dived and spent the day at 2 knots. However this left me low on oxygen in the afternoon, so I added a third snorkel run to renew supply, but without staying up long enough for a full battery recharge. I also increased day speed to 3 knots. Any thoughts? Do people prefer shorter but more frequent snorkel runs? |

The TypeXXI imo gives only two advantages:
Larger salvo of forrad eels and a sprint ability whilst submerged. I replenish oxygen just like any other U-boat type...as and when needed. |

3 hours submerged at 3 knots, 30 minutes recharging, this works well with IXB, with XXI you can probably achieve even better results, maybe 4 knots for 3 hours?
