Default Lazy Officer of the Watch

The problem as some of you may have noticed is that after surfacing the boat my Officer on Watch does not go back on watch without me dragging him out of his bunk manually. I know it can be done but how. How do I give my watchman the boot out of the bow quarters without having to do it manually. There is a mod out there but as of yet I have found no names or information related to it. I have seen it done on youtube by a player called effingcontroller but no information was given as to how it was done. Its really annoying me and I'm hoping more experienced fellows such as yourselves can help guide me to a solution.
