Has systematically eliminated all political, juristic and military opposition to the marching-through of the Muslim Brotherhood. Like Erdoghan has done in Turkey.

It does not take a rocket scientist to see what kind of changes are coming to Egypt, eddie. In Novembre 2011, Imams of two dozen mosques in Northern Egypt called the masses to storm Christian churches and to murder Christians. In the past 25 years, 1800 Christians have been slain in pogroms and individual religiously motivated murders. Four years ago, all pigs in and around Kairo and in many villages were slaughtered to eliminate Coptians' existential fundament in farming.

It's the Muslim brotherhood, so what miracle revelations do you expect? There is a reason why Mursi and Hamas make so nice bed fellows.

Thanks Oberon, I was about to post the same thing but with a different link. A very stupid move by Morsi, if this is the road he wants to go down, then I hope the military aid we have promised to Egypt, will be cut off.

I am glad to see that there is still an opposition against these measures. Good to see there are people who give the finger both to a military dictator and a wannabe islamic dictator.
The big question is how strong the opposition really is, both in terms of political and man power.

I'd like to see the army side with those opposing this dictator.

At least Mubarak helped keep the peace in the region to some extent.

I think that's the big question right now, who is the military on the side of? I can't see them being too pro-Morsi considering how reluctant they were to relinquish power to him. Of course, the Muslim Brotherhood isn't a slouch in terms of manpower, and they probably have quite a few members in the military. Depending on the manpower, this could go one of four ways, pro-Mursi, Mursi reverses course, Mursi removed or civil war.

I heard on the news today there are plans to submit Mbarak and some of his former ministers for a re-trial.

I'm betting it will go pro-Mursi, unless outsiders get involved. He's a smart cookie and has judged the timing of this move very carefully.

Also I don't think he would have done this unless he was very sure that the military was out of the game (or already on his side, which is a similar thing).

And if good old Romney would have been elected, maybe he could be like Bush, and have us invade Egypt, and install democracy there, it is working out so well in Afghanistan! You could have yourself another war yubba, the only thing the right wing nutjobs enjoy!! Got to keep those dollars flowing in to the Defense Contractors, got to keep those share holders happy and pay themselves big dividends !!

Sorry pal us right wing nut jobs [ add here] to the constitution it's the liberal left wing progressive whacko's that got us into this mess in the first place because they think they get special powers from war on both sides of the aisle,, Bush was far from being conservative,, Romney was a moderate hack ,, just the status queo that what was voted for, Santa Claus had 4 years to get us out, and now that he has another 4 years,, I wonder what other wars we will be in, in our weaken state,,I have lost count of how many conflicts we are in because of liberal hacks,,, I know what your war cry is,, it is TAX THE RICH,,,, And right now the U.S Government is wage-ing war on it's own people so tell me mister I side with the left,,, where are the JOBS or do we need a Twinkie Asset Recovery Program..or should be pass more legislation with out reading it to see whats in it....P.S and would you refresh my memory why were you peace love=ing liberals in Lybia in the first place and why are 4 americans dead,, that you don't want to talk about and why did you find it it fitting to let thousands of guns walk into Mexico,, ressulting in hundreds of deaths of mexican citizens and one american border agent..and this all happened under Santas watch. Is it me or does it really suck being a liberal knowing what kind of misery you bring to your own people and that is why you distact yourself with sex issues..
