Default Stick to your guns eh?

Nice to see that the GOP has decided to change some of its core tenants just to gain votes. I understand that they need to make some changes, but this is not a product your selling, it should be your core beliefs.

Wishy Washy as ever.......

I disagree that it is 'wishy washy'. The stance on immigration and social issues that the party holds is clearly out of step with the majority of the American voting populace. They must 'evolve' those views if they want to be a nationally viable political entity.

But that's the problem with our two party system. You cannot evolve your views, it is a yes/no option, and you must take the opposite of the other party!

Stupid politics.

No, that's not the case. The Democratic Party opposed civil rights for African Americans for a long time before adopting a pro-civil rights stance. And when they did, it wasn't because of high-minded stances on freedom and liberty. It was because the calculus of power demanded that they either include African Americans and supporters of those rights or fail to exist as an electable party.
