http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/news/news174.html I guess you like space stuff ,,nothing political yet, maybe tribes will like this one, lets see if we get some use out of that south pole teliscope, A freind of mind that wrote the software for the space shuttles main engines, turn me on to this months ago, did you know that the turbo fuel pump on a shuttle engine cranks out more horsepower than the Queen Mary, if not, now you do .

That's a pretty close approach. I think Apophis is going to be slightly closer, if not about the same distance during its 2013 approach, and in its 2029 approach...well, it's going to be pretty damn close. Not close enough for an impact, but still a real bullet burn.
DA14 is pretty small though, and unless it's made of a pretty dense material it would (hopefully) break up on entry to the Earths atmosphere if it ever hit. |
